Cookie Policy

We use cookies and similar technologies to make BumpBites work, to understand how it's used, and to improve it. Here's what they do and how you can manage them.

Last updated 15 May 2026

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make sites work efficiently and to provide analytics and personalization. We also use related technologies such aslocalStorage, sessionStorage, and pixel tags.

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

Strictly necessary

Required for the Service to function — sign-in sessions, security tokens, remembering accepted cookie preferences. These cannot be disabled while using the Service.

Performance & analytics

Help us understand how visitors interact with the Service, which pages are popular, and where errors occur. We use Google Analytics for this purpose.

Functionality

Remember preferences such as your due date, saved foods, and language choice.

Advertising & measurement

Used by partners (e.g., Meta Pixel / Conversions API) to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and show you relevant content. You can opt out via the cookie banner.

3. Third Parties We Allow

  • Google Firebase (authentication, analytics, hosting)
  • Google Analytics
  • Meta Pixel / Conversions API
  • OpenAI (for AI-assisted answers — does not set cookies in your browser)
  • Shopify (storefront integration)
  • YouTube / Vimeo (when embedded video is viewed)

4. Managing Your Choices

When you first visit BumpBites you will be shown a cookie banner allowing you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. You can change your preferences at any time by clicking the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of any page (coming soon — until then, contact us to adjust your preferences).

You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Service from functioning correctly.

5. Do Not Track

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal. There is no industry standard for honoring DNT signals; at this time, BumpBites does not respond to them differently from the cookie consent you provide through our banner.

6. Changes

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top when we do.
